Winter Concert January 2008: Peter and the Wolf The classic Russian tale of brave young Peter and his friends, the bird, the duck and the cat, coming face to face with the wolf! (Grandfather warned Peter!)
This wonderful adventure was danced to the popular Prokofiev score, complete with the familiar narration: "Each character in this tale is represented by a different instrument in the orchestra ..." Audiences saw the dancing meadow and the naiads of the pond, heard the boom of the hunters, and feared the wolf on the prowl! In spite of the snow, it was enjoyed by young and old alike!
